How much difference can two people really make?

In the summer of 2022, while the world was still reeling from ideas like
vaccine passports, a small group of people met in a backyard wondering what
happened to their constitutionally protected rights. Two people who happened to
live in the same legislative district met and decided they could no longer sit and
watch. They started talking to friends, neighbors and family about how to get
involved and push back against the erosion of their rights. After a few months of
gathering names, they started to put a plan together to get involved with their
district Republican Party. Their hope was to secure a presence on the district’s
Executive Committee. As the saying goes, “all politics is local”, and if you wish to
change the conversation in Bismarck, the best place to start is in your district. As
providence would have it, members of this group were elected to 4 of the 5
Executive Committee positions. Little did they know at the time that this was just
the beginning.
With new leadership in the district, two of the current legislators decided to
step aside instead of seeking an endorsement from the district for the upcoming
primary. This allowed the district to endorse two strong grassroots conservatives
to run in their place. They along with the incumbent conservative candidate went
on to win a decisive victory in the general election. The three candidates then
joined an ever-growing group of fellow grassroots conservatives in Bismarck and
made their voices heard throughout the legislative session.
The efforts of those first two people that met came full circle shortly
thereafter when new district elections were held and grassroots conservatives
were elected to each Executive and District Committee position available. The
work they had done resulted in their district moving from the 21st most
conservative voting district in the state of North Dakota to being in the top 4 the
very next session. Politics is all about numbers and when enough people get
behind a candidate, bill, or movement like The Freedom League, victories aren’t
far behind.
Are you ready to be a part of victories like the one above? The Freedom
League is prepared to help you do just that! From grassroots trainings and
